Levante Beach

DSCF0013.JPG

This is the sandy holiday hub for those who're out for fun and frolics, and is known as the sunrise beach. In high season it can get pretty crowded, although there are quite literally thousands of sun beds (over 5000 in case you're curious). It's backed by a broad promenade sporting bars and cafes and in short...it's lively!

Poniente Beach

poniente.jpg

Beyond the Old Town, PONIENTE BEACH is to the west of LEVANTE, and comprises a mammoth golden curl of excellent fine sand. Huge! If you don't want quite such a hectic time having fun in the sun this will be your better option as PONIENTE tends to be slightly less crowded.

mURI_temp_189fa6fd.jpg

Benidorm probably has more hotels per sq. metre than anywhere else in Spain. However, you need to be cautious as many of the hotels cater for mass tourism and package holidays. Low prices often mean low quality

Surrounded by mountains and open to the south on the double curve of its beaches, its exceptional microclimate allows the tourist to enjoy nature during every season of the year.

People from Benidorm

DSCF0078.JPG

The people of Benidorm are friendly, and very large English and Irish communities have made Benidorm their home. With all that Benidorm has to offer, it is no wonder that so many who have visited it end up becoming permanent residents.

Boulevard of Benidorm

mURI_temp_fe835c6c.jpg

Starting at the back of the beach, the long promenade a great place to, well, promenade, is backed by an attractive, paved access 'road' so there're few motor vehicles. In fact, it's very much a sort of pedestrianised area fronted by any number of cafes, restaurants and bars - a truly eclectic mix. They range from rock themes, through cheap and cheerful, and on to the smart and sophisticated

Sky Line of Benidorm

IMG_2928d__a_b_c.jpg

The skyline of Benidorm is today its landmark with lots of skyscrapers to accommodate large amounts of visitors at one time. Even though the last majority of the visitors in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca in Spain never leave the town during their stay you just have to go a bit inland to see the real Spanish countryside.
